6 Receive module: Display of CAN messages

The Receive module is used for the online-display of the messages received by the CAN-interface. CAN-messages are shown below the menu- and toolbar of the Receive module.

The Receive module can switch between two receive modes:
In the Scroll-mode, received CAN-messages are shown in the order in which they are received
In the Overwrite-mode, the CAN-messages are sorted according to their CAN-Identifier. The message received last is displayed.

In both modes the identifiers, any allocated names and the data fields of the CAN-messages are entered in the columns of the display field. In the scroll-mode, the timestamp of the CAN-message is displayed absolute to the starting time of the canAnalyser or relative to the timestamp of the previous message. In the Overwrite-mode, the individual messages of an Identifier are counted.
In both modes it is possible to choose between a decimal and a hexadecimal display of the Identifiers and/or data.
Before we can receive messages with the Receive module, we must first generate them. For this, please switch to the program window of the Transmit module.

In the overwrite mode the Receive module supports Data change detection and Timout detection. These functions are described in Signal module.
